This past week of workouts was lacking to say the least. I was busier than usual trying to get school work done, attend bartending interviews and a last-minute show was added to my schedule. Needless to say, I had to do what I hate the most. Skip the gym. Twice.

Then to make matters worse I woke up with a scratchy throat on Friday morning. I should have known it was a sign I was getting sick, but I chalked it up to allergies. Until I woke up yesterday completely taken over by a cold. Instead of listening to my body and cancelling brunch plans to check out Shelly Watson’s newest show, I powered-through. Let’s just say I’m paying for it. The commute home was an ordeal. I’ve been coughing and sneezing, and repeating like a broken record to my boyfriend “I think I’m dying.” 

It’s really hard for me to take a day off. I don’t do days off well. I’m still sucking at it since this will be my second post of the day. Plus, I’m working on editing the FitShowgirl October Spotlight Post. But once I hit publish on this I’m powering down for a bit to finally have some soup and watch tv till I fall asleep. Hoping I can be back to the grind and the gym by midweek.

Front-Side-Reverse lunges 10 reps each leg, holding 10lb dumbbells
Leg Press Machine
140lbs 20 reps, 20 jump squats
180lbs 20 reps, 20 jump squats
230lbs 20 reps, 20 jump squats
270lbs 15 reps
320lbs 12reps

Weighted clamshells 15reps each leg, 10lb plate
Weighted donkey kicks 15 reps each leg, 8lb dumbbell tucked in knee

Low squat step-ups 12reps each leg, 20lb barbell
Single leg deadlift 12 each leg, 10lb dumbbells

Stretch

Wednesday:
Day 16 of the 30 day yoga challenge
Ran 1.41 miles to the bank. Avg Pace 9’01
Ran 1 mile home – tried to make a mile under 9 minutes. And I did it! Pace 8’51!!!

Thursday:
Day 17 of the 30 day yoga challenge
Strictly Splits class at Femme Body Fitness
  *bonus awesome surprise one of my coworkers from the club was teaching

Friday:
Day 18 of the 30 day yoga challenge
*intended upper body day that didn’t happen
